Valentine's Day doesn't mean much in our household. Marty came in, gave me a kiss, said "Happy Valentine's Day!" and went off to his day.
On the irritating side of work, we got a new Administrative Assistant much to most of our disgruntlement at how the previous one, whom we all liked, was let go. And she's coming in with the same attitude that our (new) bosses had (still have) when they came in. Hostile takeover!! You guys need to do this and not do that. In her case, don't adjust "my" chair (a chair we all use) and don't leave your personal items around the "office environment" (four of us practically live here 45 hours a week, overnights). She's like a mini version of one of our bosses (the worst one).
On the more positive side of work, I brought fun soap and candle making supplies to work with me for Women's Group so the female residents could make some fun things for Valentine's Day. It went well and was fun.
So here's the Free Hug Campaign (so sweet!!) for your Valentine's Day.
As an aside, I ran up and hugged a massive man in wild Road Warrior armor who was carrying a Free Hugs sign at Burning Man, 2007.
